Authorization runs through Amazon's official OAuth. Tokens are encrypted server-side with AES-256-GCM and never appear in the conversation.

Can ChatGPT access my Amazon Seller Central account?
Not on its own — but it can through a connector. Vendooly is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server: you authorize your Amazon seller account once via Amazon's official OAuth flow, add Vendooly as a connector, and ChatGPT can then read your real catalog, orders, inventory, Buy Box and Sponsored Products data and prepare changes you approve.
Is this an official Amazon plugin for ChatGPT?
No. Vendooly is an independent product built by Vendooly S.r.l. on Amazon's official Selling Partner API and Advertising API. Access is granted by you through Amazon's own OAuth authorization and can be revoked at any time from Seller Central.
Does it work with Claude and other assistants too?
Yes. Vendooly exposes a standard MCP endpoint, so the same authorized connection works with ChatGPT, Claude and any MCP-compatible assistant. You authorize your Amazon account once, not once per assistant.
Can ChatGPT change prices or campaigns by itself?
No. Read operations run freely, but every write — price, stock, listing content, bids, budgets, campaign state — is prepared as a proposal and executed only after you explicitly confirm it. Server-side guardrails also cap bulk operations.
What data does the assistant actually see?
Only what your authorization covers: the org, seller account and marketplace you selected, within the granted Selling Partner API and Advertising API scopes. Amazon credentials are never typed into the chat, and tokens are encrypted server-side.
Does Amazon have an official plugin for ChatGPT?
On 23 September 2026 Amazon announced the Amazon Selling Partner plugin for Amazon Quick and, in beta, for Claude, only for sellers in Amazon's U.S. stores. For ChatGPT, and for European marketplaces, you use an MCP connector such as Vendooly today, which works with both ChatGPT and Claude.
